Internet Explorer9 Browsers Surpasses Competitors In Tests Malware Blocking

According to a recent survey published by NSS Labs, Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 greatly outperforms competing browsers were designed to test against socially harmful components. Based on tests against the active 19 days 615 malicious URLs, as well as Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 8 has passed the comparative table.

Here are the results:

Windows Internet Explorer 9 - IE9 caught a slope of 92% of direct threats
Windows Internet Explorer 8 - took 90% of direct threats
Apple Safari 5 - had a 13% direct threats
Google Chrome 10 - to 13% of live threats
Mozilla Firefox 4 - 13% live in the threats
Opera 11 - took 5% of direct threats

More details:

When enabled and disabled SmartScreen the name of the IE9 scored only URL filtering, and more than 89% of the time security rating is 92%. Application of reputation on the higher proportion of single URL SmartScreen Internet Explorer to crash, 9 11% (100%) at zero hours and time to protect the 8% (100%). Internet Explorer 9 was by far the best designed social protection against malware, even before the security is layered on top of App Rep SmartScreen.

Because NSS Labs, the results do not necessarily true?

This is not the first time I criticized the research, published by NSS Labs, and certainly not the last. Not only research to ignore the existence of a client-side vulnerabilities, it is fundamentally flawed methodology, taking into account the limited number of browsers the URL is tested against the testing, together with the lack of additional security features offered by competing browsers and security-related add-ons.

Leaving the client-side vulnerabilities, the research does not assess the IE8 DEP / NX memory protection, as well as leaving the defense clickjacking and IE8 XSS Filter is, once observed less sophisticated alternatives to the Firefox NoScript friendly.

Socially and virus reference point for a comprehensive assessment of your browser to prevent malicious interest. It is a realistic estimate of current and emerging Threatscape along with a complete test of all security mechanisms currently available in the browser, test methods, which I think is not present in the study.
What do you think? Not that the vulnerabilities on the client are excluded, thus undermining the methodology used for benchmarking? What about the lack of measurement of the most vulnerable and outdated plugins that could lead to a successful operation with a network operating computer-based malware?
