Why all students must be on Twitter

Many students turn their nose up on Twitter yet, and puzzles me.

As a user I am naturally inclined to be positive about the service. Not necessarily. It's like Marmite. Or love him or not. But those who have not tried it are more likely to respond negatively to it, especially when you do not realize the possibilities that Twitter offers.

Twitter is a "social network" strange, if it can be called as such. It's all about mass communication - speaking of celebrities, friends, colleagues and potential employers, as well as keep up with the flow of information provided by others.

And Generation Y not make anything better to report. The two must go hand in hand, seemingly perfect, you might think.

But many of my colleagues in the student avoid Twitter because it is "nothing to do" or "I do not see what might come of it."

What many forget is that Twitter does not revolve around celebrities and you have a million fans or more.

If I tweet, I will respond. Always. Not because I feel I have to, but because I want to. You will find that many will respond if Twitter something that relates to them - similar to that of a common face to face conversation.

For students seeking employment, there are a large number of Twitter accounts to follow not only advice, but the job offers, and connections to those in the industry to sell to them.

The search function allows you to connect only the content and "graduate work" and returns a sequence of users looking for work themselves, the accounts provide tips, links to jobs specifically dedicated to graduate students.

And the moment I finished writing the last sentence, ten results are presented with much the same thing.

Twitter is not the only friends, family and colleagues. This is what you make of it. You can apply the same with Facebook - can be a social platform if you will, but can also be used for business.

From communicating with customers to discuss products with the following social platform does not automatically mean "exclusive of their immediate acquaintances."

But if you are not satisfied with finding jobs, they need not expect a job to land in your lap.

This does not mean you should not take this opportunity to convey their views and thoughts on a topic you feel passionate about. People will notice, and those with similar passions to find and follow you, and his name spread beyond.

Eventually someone who wants you will notice, and you may begin to work in the media.

Can Google+ be a Facebook Killer?

Google+ grows by leaps and bounds. When I looked at the number of members Google+ earlier this week, it seemed to Google+ was already 5 million users. Guess what? It seems that is growing even faster than initially estimated.

According to Paul Allen, founder of Ancestry.com, a leader in the genealogy site of his original estimates were low. Allen, now think about:

Name-based analysis shows that the number of users worldwide reached 7.3 million Google+ yesterday (July 10) - against 1.7 million users, July 4. This is an increase of 350% in six days. The user base is growing so fast that it's hard for me to stop, as the number of users of a given name (even rarer, I follow up) seem to be climbing every days.

Most impressive growth in the last week is the extraordinary growth of Yesterday mid-day today - 30% jump. My latest estimate shows tonight at about 9.5 million users. This suggests that 2.2 million people have joined the Google+ last 32-34 hours.

Projects Warehouse easily pass 10 million users, and tomorrow could reach 20 million users this weekend, whether to keep the call button available. As a user of G+ put, it is easy to underestimate the power of exponential growth.

It is not only the fans of high technology. Users who are my wife, charming, who have no interest inherent in new technologies. toys + Google flowing. They like control, gives them more circles who sees their records and have not, they love how it gives them more control over their data, and they like how Google + already integrates with the rest of Google applications.

Google engineers are well aware that the last factor. They strive to improve. Mark Striebeck, Engineering Manager for the Gmail front end, has recently announced that "we are working more Gmail / Google + integrations."

All this bodes ill for the former undisputed champion of social networks: Facebook. I think Facebook is already a little afraid of glasses +. Not before tools like Open-Xchange program to export your Facebook friends to show + that blocks Google Facebook.

Of course, Facebook is like a black hole when it comes to personal information anyway: friends do not come and go. But it is only now that Facebook is actively blocking efforts to get their information and their friends outside. Previously, only made it very difficult to do with Facebook's own export tool, the lack of data:

Account>> Account Settings download> More> Download

But all that said, Facebook is a real danger of becoming a way of MySpace? No, I do not believe it. Not now anyway. This does not mean, however, that Facebook is about to leave unharmed.

Yes, Facebook has 750 million users. And sure, the rate of growth of Google + 's going on, it will take time to get on Facebook. On the other hand, despite its popularity, many people do not like Facebook. According to the 2010 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) E-Business Report "on Facebook were placed in 64 ACSI scale of 100 points, which is set to less satisfaction with the IRS e-filer. This puts the bottom 5% of Facebook all measured by private sector companies, and the same range carriers and cable companies, two of the industry perennially low score with a horrible customer satisfaction. "Google, meanwhile, scored 80

Facebook also seems to be reaching market saturation. In short, it seems that everyone who is interested in Facebook already be on Facebook.

Here's how I see it shaking out. I can see + Google continues to grow very quickly. Unlike previous attempts to Google was not able to access social networking, Google + is already becoming a real fan, not just people who love the newest, brightest Tech. toys. Since Google is increasingly integrated with its other programs, Google +, I can only see it growing in popularity. In fact, I believe that, far from major system crash, or safety of Blow-Up, Google + reaches 100 million users by the end of the year. However, I wonder if I'm wrong and you arrive before January 2012.

Facebook is about to fall.  Google+ users, they are not going to appear out of emptiness. To paraphrase my friend, "I have to go to two sites instead of one every day? Yuck!" Yuck indeed. As Google+ collects  steam, slowly move users away from Facebook.

This is bad news for Facebook, and even worse news for Facebook IPO (IPO). Although Google+ does nothing  more than the growth of Facebook stall that spells real problems for the business model for Facebook.

So, Google + kills on Facebook? No, it is not. But you may very well make-up business plans and quick profits.
